Due to recent health problems, I find that I can no longer enjoyroad trips in my 65 Ranchero, so I am putting it up for sale. It is mechanically rebuilt and a reliable driver. Mostly in need of cosmetics. I'm listing what I have done with it since I put it on the road in 2002. It's first road trip was from Nebraska to Nashville Nationals. Other Nationals include two in Texas (Arlington and Austin), a couple to Kansas City, kansas and Springfield, Mo. It has gone to regional meets in Hot Springs, Arkansas and Sprinfield, Mo, Salina, Ks., Wichita, Kansas, a tour of the Black Hills, South Dakota, and many other driving functions, and all were driven.

The current drive train consist of a later 200 I-6 long block from Autozone. The head is a later application, and is using the carb found in a Ford Fairmont, complete with cable throttle pedal. I salvaged a 65 Futura 4 door that supplied the C4, 2.83 rear gears, day-nite mirror, and backup lights. I installed a Clifford, two tube header, with splitter, dual exhaust with Thrush Turbo mufflers. This required the use of a smaller 4" x 6" starter for ease of removal/installation. I have a spare I carry in case of failure.

Front disc brakes are 4 lug, with 67 Mustang M/C, and adjustable proportion valve.

Pertronix ignition; aluminum radiator; heater/defrost/air climate control; B&M detent floor shifter; white faced instrument panel - mini tach replaed stock temp gauge; electronicwhite faced mini gauge trio; AM/FM/CD sterio under dash - rea shelf speakers/ sterio in-dash speakers; cruise control; triple sockets for plug-ins (phone charger cord etc.); Ford Probe bucket seats/Hyundai console;Seat belts;Grant steering wheel;chrome vent visors; and dual outside mirrors.

I have new rear leak springs/mounting hardware-yet to be installed. There are also many extra parts, including a hood, windshield, fenders from a Futura, steering box, Ranchero gas tank(leaky), new rear shocks, front and rear spare bumpers, I-200 short block, KYB front shocks with Mustang upper shock mounts, rear end, grill, glass installation rubber, stock heater, and numerous other items.

This is a reliable, 20 mpg driver, with 4 new Michelin tires on aliminum wheels on the ground and a spare tire that is unused.
